📖 Understanding Invitation Rounds
How Rounds Work
The Department of Home Affairs runs SkillSelect invitation rounds approximately monthly. In each round, the highest-ranked EOIs (by points, then date of effect) are selected and invited to apply for a visa.
Minimum Points
The minimum points score shown is the lowest score among all invitations issued in that round. Subclass 189 generally requires higher points than 190 and 491 due to higher competition.
Planning Your EOI
Monitoring trends helps you time your EOI submission and skills assessment strategically. If points are declining, more invitations may be coming. If rising, competition is increasing.
